Xin Mei Congee

sells a nice assortment of congee. Noodles and macaroni too. Its congee is truly enjoyable.

Prawn & Meatball Porridge

This congee comes with prawns and meatballs with a raw egg added, and topped with fried shallots, chopped spring onions and slivers of ginger shreds. Crispy fried you tiao is then added to this bowl of porridge.

The prawns are quite smooth and fairly fresh. The pork balls are soft and meaty with nice seasoning flavours. As for the porridge, it is very smooth especially with the added raw egg. Nice flavourings too. Truly enjoyable.

Bao Zai Noodles

Besides porridge, Xin Mei Congee serves yee mee and macaroni too. Seen above is their bao zai noodles. This bowl of noodles comes with meatballs, pork and pork liver slices,r aw egg and some vegetables served in a bowl of decently flavoured soup that is mildly savoury. This bowl of noodles is topped with fried shallots and chopped spring onions.

Both the pork and pork liver slices are soft and tender. The pork balls are soft and meaty with nice flavours. As for the yee mee, it is firm and springy. Quite a nice alternative to their porridge. I like it.
