Hainanese Curry Rice

Long Xiang Hougang Hainanese Curry Rice is a popular stall serving hainanese curry rice with a large selection of mains and sides. Seen above is with pork chop, fried prawns and fried egg.

The pork chop is meaty with nice savoury seasoning flavours. The fried prawns are fairly firm and springy, however its breaded crust is kind of soft and no longer crispy. The fried egg is quite ordinary with a solid egg yolk.

The rice has a firm texture and is served with a mixture of curry sauce and braised sauce. The curry sauce has nice flavourings and is mildly spicy.

This plate of curry rice is rather ordinary but quite decent.
