Er Jie Ngoh Hiang Prawn Fritter has been serving an assortment of homemade ngo hiang, prawn fritters, etc since 1975. Seen above is their crispy prawn cracker, bean sprouts prawn cake, ngo hiang, water chestnut cake and handmade fish cake, served with a plate of fried mee hoon.

The crispy prawn cracker has a nice crispy flour batter with tiny crispy prawns. The bean sprouts prawn cake has crispy outsides and soft insides with some bean sprouts. It is topped with a couple of crispy prawns on top. Both are very likeable.

The ngo hiang has a crispy skin wrapping a soft and flavourful filling with some yam and meaty bits. The water chestnut cake is crispy outside, soft inside and has nice water chestnut flavourings. The handmade fish cake is soft, smooth and springy with a crispy skin and nice savoury fish flavours.

As for the plate of fried mee hoon, it has a nice dry texture and tastes rather nice too. A bowl of limey chilli dip is served on the side, and it pairs really well with the various ngo hiang pieces.

This serving of ngo hiang tastes good! I like it!
