Botany

is a casual dining place located in a row of restored shophouses located along Singapore River in Robertson Quay area. Its nice comfy vibe makes it a popular choice with the expat crowd, hanging around and soaking in its relaxing atmosphere.

Smoked Salmon with Scrambled Eggs on Sourdough Toast

This has fairly smooth scrambled eggs stacked with baby spinach and thick slices of smoked salmon on a piece of sourdough toast. Comes with sauteed kale and cherry tomatoes on the side. A decent choice for a light brunch.

Poutine

Crispy waffle fries with melted cheese and a tiny bit of veal juz sauce at the bottom. Quite nice to snack on but it would be good if there is a bit more sauce.

Signature Grilled Chicken with Balinese Salsa

This is their signature dish and it doesn’t disappoint. It has a boneless chicken leg that is marinated with spices, which is nicely flavoured, juicy and with a light crisp. This is paired with a homemade Balinese salsa sauce with a spicy and limey taste, which goes really well with the chicken. White rice and a sunny side up egg is included. I quite like this.

Homemade Beef Burger

The Homemade Beef Burger has a beef patty that is marinated with herbs, Himalayan sea-salt and black pepper. You can actually taste the black pepper and salt taste when you bite into it. The beef patty is topped with cheddar cheese and a sunny-side up egg. I had my beef patty done medium rare. It is a decent, nice and tasty burger but it is not juicy enough. There is an option for you to change the beef patty into an impossible one too.
