3-Colour Kuching Kolo Mee

Onemee Sarawak Kolo Mee serves a unique 3-colour kuching kolo mee complete with slices of char siew with minced meat toppings.

The kolo mee is tossed in 3 different seasoning: the original yellow coloured kolo mee is seasoned in a mixture of fried shallot oil and pork lard, while the orange coloured ones are tossed in a char siew sauce with a hint of ketchup. Lastly, the dark coloured kolo mee is tossed with a dark sauce seasoning.

The bowl of kolo mee is served with slices of lean, firm char siew that have a slightly swee taste, and topped with nicely flavoured minced meat. A bowl of soup with well-balaced flavours is provided on the side.

Overall, this serving of 3-coloured kolo mee is quite likeable.

Kuching Kolo Mee

The kuching kolo mee can be served with various toppings, such as the chicken cutlet and meatball options shown above.

The chicken cutlet version features a piece of chicken cutlet with a thick crispy breaded crust that gives way to tender and juicy chicken meat. The meatball version comes with meatballs that are firm and meaty, and lightly seasoned minced meat. Both the chicken cutlet and meatballs taste decent.

The firm and springy kolo mee has a dry texture and is tossed in a mixture of shallot oil and pork lard, then served topped with chopped spring onions. A savoury tasting chilli paste with a hint of dried shrimp flavours can be added to the noodles.

Sibu Mee Kampua

The sibu mee kampua noodles are firm and springy, tossed in a fragrant fried shallot oil seasoning. Soft, lean slices of slightly sweet char siew are added to the noodles. This bowl of mee kampua tastes nice!

Fried Wanton

The fried wanton can be added as a side to your order. It has a crispy and airy skin enveloping a soft and meaty filling. Accompanying the fried wanton is a side of mayonnaise, though it tastes good on its own too.
