Hainanese Chicken & Turmeric Hainanese Chicken

Teo Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice serves two kinds of hainanese chicken, the regular ones and ones cooked with turmeric, which gives a yellowish tint to its skin. The chicken rice set, as shown above, comes with both chicken options, along with a serving of bean sprouts, rice and soup.

The hainanese chicken is tender and moist with a very smooth and soft skin. The turmeric-cooked version is also tender and moist with a very smooth and soft skin that is flavourful and gives very subtle sting from the turmeric. Both versions taste lovely!

The serving of bean sprouts is crunchy and juicy, with a soya sauce seasoning that has a faint note of sweetness. The serving of rice is firm and flavourful, and the soup is very nicely flavoured too. An optional limey-tasting chilli sauce and a minced garlic sauce is provided alongside the dish.

This serving of hainanese chicken rice is definitely a satisfying meal. Thumbs up!
