Cai Png

Hup Heng Economic Mixed Vegetable Rice is a rather popular cai png stall selling quite a large assortment of dishes to choose from. Chosen here are their sweet sour pork, lemon fried fish nuggets, fried scrambled eggs with chopped asparagus and rice with curry.

This sweet sour pork is meaty and chewy with savour flavours with a tint of sweetness. Comes with pieces of cucumbers and onions. Flavours are nice but unfortunately its fried crust is soft. As for the lemon fried fish nuggets, it uses chunks of fried fish meat glazed with lemon sauce. Slight lemony and mildly sweet flavours. Similarly flavours are quite nice but the fried crust is soft. The scrambled fried eggs with chopped asparagus is decent but quite normal. Curry has quite nice flavourings and is spicy. Overall this is quite a nice satisfying meal.
