Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice

This is their char siew and siu yuk rice with ngo hiang added. Both the char siew and siu yuk are the lean and meaty type. The char siew has a very slight sweet taste and the siu yuk has savoury flavours with a slightly crispy skin. The plain white rice is firm and comes with a mildly savoury and mildly sweet braised seasoning sauce. Served on the sides are: a bowl of ikan bilis flavoured soup used for their wanton mee, and a saucer of garlic chilli sauce.

This plate of char siew and siu yuk rice maybe rather likeable with the added ngo hiang, it is quite ordinary though.

Wanton Mee

This wanton mee comes with a plate of noodles topped with slices of char siew and a bowl of ikan bilis flavoured soup containing wanton.

The char siew is the lean meat type, is meaty and has a slightly sweet taste. The wanton has a nice soft skin wrapper with decently flavoured meat filling. As for the noodles, it is a bit soft but still considered fairly springy. It has a nice savoury and smokey tasting seasoning sauce. Tastes nice.

Ngo Hiang

This self-made ngo hiang has nice savoury seasoning flavourings, and you can actually taste the yam used in its soft filling. Its skin wrapper is mostly soft though there maybe some edges that is still slightly crispy. This ngo hiang is definitely a nice one. Recommended.
