Cai Png

209 Ho Chiak Mixed Vegetable Rice serves cai png with a decent selection of mains and sides. Seen above is their pork chop, bean sprouts with tofu and begedil served with rice and curry. I had wanted to add a fried egg but they were sold out and had only leftover of half a fried egg which was provided to me complimentary.

First, the pork chop. It is meaty and glazed with sweet sour sauce giving it a sweet taste. Quite decent. Next, the bean sprouts. The bean sprouts are stir fried with some carrot shreds and tofu cubes. The bean sprouts is crunchy with savoury tastes. The tofu is firm and likewise tastes savoury. The begedil has a soft potato filling with slightly crispy egg coating and decent flavourings. As for the rice, it has a nice firm texture and a slightly spicy tasting curry sauce added.

This plate of cai png is quite a decent one.
