The sliced fish is quite soft and smooth. The fried fish is soft and meaty with savoury flavours, but its fried crust is soft and is not crispy. The fried egg is crispy and tastes decent. The soup itself tastes decent as well. The yee mee is fairly firm and springy, and is served with some bitter gourd slices and vegetables. An optional savoury-tasting chilli sauce dip is provided on the side.

This serving of double fish soup yee mee tastes alright.
