Double Fish Soup

The double fish soup comes with both sliced fish and fried fish served with fried egg, vegetables and choice of noodles. Above is with yee mee chosen.

The sliced fish is quite smooth and soft. The fried fish is crispy and meaty with a mild savoury flavours but it also tastes of the flour coating. The fried egg is fairly crispy and the yee mee is a bit on the soft side but still considered springy. The soup tastes just alright and comes with some vegetables.

This double fish yee mee is quite ordinary.

Mee Hoon Kueh

Various handmade noodles are available as well. Above is their mee hoon kueh which comes with a prawn, meat slices, minced meat, meatball and a raw egg. It is topped with ikan bilis, chopped spring onions and fried shallots.

The soup tastes just alright and it comes with some vegetables. The mee hoon kueh has some really soft parts but is mostly firm and springy. The prawn is quite large size and tastes decent. The meat slices and minced meat are both soft and meaty. The meatball is soft and meaty as well with savoury flavours. The raw egg is completely cooked with soft yolk and soft whites, and the savoury tasting ikan bilis is crispy.

All in all, this mee hoon kueh tastes just alright.
