Wanton Mee

Ah Hwa Noodle House is known for their signature wanton mee. The dish features slices of char siew and a piece of fried wanton served on a plate of tossed noodles, along with a bowl of wanton soup.

The tossed noodles is firm and springy, and wet with a decently flavoured seasoning sauce. The lean char siew is firm and meaty, with a slight sweetness. The fried wanton has crispy skin, and a soft savoury meaty filling. The soup wanton has soft skin and a flavourful soft meaty filling, and the soup has nice ikan bilis flavours. Both types of wanton are enjoyable.

This serving of wanton mee is decent, and I particularly like their wanton.

Chicken Cutlet Noodles

The chicken cutlet noodles comes with a piece of fried chicken cutlet served on a plate of tossed noodles, along with a bowl of soup on the side. The chicken cutlet has a crispy breaded crust that covers the soft and moist meat. It is quite flavourful, and tastes satisfactory..

Soya Sauce Chicken & Siu Yuk

Ah Hwa Roasted Noodle House is part of Ah Hwa Noodle House, and offers an expanded menu that includes various roasted meats served with a choice of noodles or rice, in addition to their regular wanton mee. Shown above is their soya sauce chicken and siu yuk rice.

The soya sauce chicken is smooth and meaty with a nice soya sauced flavoured skin. The siu yuk is firm and meaty with some some fatty parts and a crispy skin. The meats are served on a plate of firm and fairly flavourful rice. It comes with a bowl of soup on the side, and an optional savoury tasting chilli paste.

Both the soya sauce chicken and siu yuk are quite nice.
