Curry Puff

Killiney Road Curry Puff offers a selection of curry puffs with multiple filling options to choose from.

The potato curry puff has a soft and flavourful potato filling, with rich flavours of curry and spices as well as a faint hint of dried shrimps. The filling is wrapped in a thin and crispy crust. Absolutely lovely!

The egg curry puff features the same flavourful potato filling, with the additional of a small slice of boiled egg. It is wrapped in the same thin and crispy crust. It tastes lovely too.

The chicken curry puff mixes tiny bits of minced chicken meat into the flavourful curry potato filling. The filling has a spicer tone compared to the regular potato curry puff, and wrapped in a thin and crispy crust wraps. It is tasty.

Instead of containing a curry potato filling, the sardine curry puff features chunky pieces of sardine meat with some onion bits. It has a spicy taste with a mildly sweet undertone. Not bad.

The prawn curry puff is something uncommon. A small piece of prawn is incorporated into the flavourful curry potato filling. It tastes nice as well.

Prawn Vadai

The prawn vadai comes with a rather large piece of crispy prawn on top of a fried dough that contains some tiny onion and green chilli bits. Unfortunately the dough is soft is lacking any crispiness. It tastes decent though. A piece of green chilli is provided together with it.

Goreng Pisang

The goreng pisang uses a large piece of banana coated in a crispy batter. The banana is soft and sweet, and the crispy batter provides a nice contrast. I like it!

Nasi Lemak

Served here is the standard nasi lemak set that comes with a fried chicken wing, a boiled egg, ikan bilis and peanuts, along with rice and sambal chilli.

The fried chicken wing is tender and juicy with nice marinated flavours, and is coated in an airy and crispy batter. It tastes good! The ikan bilis are crispy, while the lightly salted peanuts are crunchy. The rice is firm and fluffy, and tastes rather flavourful. The sambal chilli has a nice sweet undertone in addition to its spiciness.

This serving of nasi lemak is enjoyable. Thumbs up!

Mee Rebus

The mee rebus has just an egg and some small pieces of tau pok, accompanying the serving of yellow noodles and bean sprouts. It is topped with coriander leaves, fried shallots, chopped green chilli and spring onions. A piece of green lime is provided on the side. The mee rebus sauce is quite nicely flavoured with a light sweet taste. This mee rebus tastes decent.
