Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken.

Tai Weng Hainanese Chicken Rice offers both hainanese chicken and roast chicken served with rice.

Both the hainanese chicken and roast chicken are boneless. They are moist, soft and meaty with the hainanese chicken having a smooth and soft skin, and the roast chicken having a rather flavourful skin. The generous portions of chicken meat are served on a plate along with some cucumber slices, and drenched with soya sauce seasoning, and topped with chopped coriander leaves.

Served alongside the plate of chicken are a serving of rice, a bowl of soup, and two optional dipping sauces. The rice is fluffy and fairly flavourful, and the soup has light pleasant flavours with coriander leaves added. The chilli sauce is limey and garlicky, while the ginger sauce has an intense ginger taste.
