Hainanese Chicken & Roast Chicken

Maxwell Hainanese Chicken Rice does hainanese chicken rice and roast chicken rice served with a bowl of savoury tasting soup on the side. A limey and garlicky chilli sauce is provided as well.

The hainanese chicken is moist and meaty with a rather soft and smooth skin. The roast chicken is soft and meaty and has a decently flavourful skin. The chicken slices are not deboned though. These are served on a plate of rice that is firm and rather flavourful with a soya sauce seasoning sauce added. Some cucumber slices, coriander and fried shallots are added to the rice.

This plate of hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice tastes alright but is seriously overpriced. There are tastier and better value chicken rice within Maxwell Food Centre itself. My vote goes to Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice located just a few stalls away.
