Kaya Butter Toast

The kaya butter toast consists of toasted brown bread, sliced in the middle, with crispy outsides and soft insides. A very thin layer of kaya jam and butter slices are sandwiched in between. The kaya jam has a sweet taste with distinct note of coconut. The savoury butter slices provides a pleasant contrast to its sweetness. This is a decent butter kaya toast.

Half Boiled Eggs

The half boiled eggs are watery, and served in a bowl. You can enhance its flavours by adding soya sauce and pepper accordingly. Tastes alright.

Teh

This cup of teh has nice tea flavours and is rather sweet. Tastes alright too.

Ayam Bakar

A few choices of nasi lemak are available. As shown above, their ayam bakar is served with a boiled egg, ikan bilis peanuts and a side of achar.

The chicken is tender and juicy with both savoury and sweet flavours, and its skin is soft with a savoury taste. The lightly salted ikan bilis and peanuts are crispy and crunchy. The boiled egg comes with a sweet tasting chilli sauce. The serving of achar is crunchy with a limey and sweet taste. As for the rice, it is soft but decently flavourful.

Overall, this tastes rather oridinary.

Mee Rebus

The mee rebus comes served with tau pok pieces, a boiled egg and a begedil, along with yellow noodles, bean sprouts, chopped green chilli, fried shallots and a piece of green lime.

The yellow noodles is quite firm and springy, and the sauce has decent flavours with a faint tint of spiciness. The begedil has soft potato filling, but its egg coating is not crispy.

This plate of mee rebus is quite unremarkable.
