Yong Tau Foo

The yong tau foo soup comes with a variety of ingredients. The selection includes one piece each of fish roll, tau pok with fish paste, fried fish cake, meatball and fishball. The soup is served with a bowl of tossed mee kia, along with a side of additional fish rolls.

The yong tau foo soup has decent flavours with a subtle hint of soya bean. The tau pok with fish paste absorbs the flavours of the soup nicely. The fish roll is firm and has a nice savoury taste, and the fried fish cake is soft and smooth. The meatball is very soft and smooth with nice meaty flavours, and the fishball is smooth and bouncy.

The mee kia is fairly firm and springy, with decent seasoning flavours. Some crispy pork lard are included with the tossed noodles. A side of dipping sauces are provided as well. The chilli sauce has a slightly limey taste, while the sweet sauce is sweet.

Overall, this serving of yong tau foo is decent.
