Braised Duck Rice

The braised duck rice set comes with slices of boneless braised duck meat, braised tofu, half a braised egg and some braised peanuts. These are served on a plate of braised rice with some braised sauce added. A bowl of soup is provided on the side.

The braised duck is firm, moist and meaty. Its skin is soft and smooth, and has nice braised flavours. The tofu is soft with a hint of braised flavours, likewise for the braised egg and braised peanuts. The brown coloured braised rice is firm and rather flavourful.

Provided on the side is a bowl of soup and 2 types of chilli. The soup has nice braised flavours with a note of sweet. There are 2 types of chilli, a garlicky and limey tasting chilli sauce and a limey and mildly sweet tasting chilli paste. The chilli pairs rather well with the braised duck.

This serving of braised duck rice set is enjoyable. I like it!

Braised Duck Kway Teow Mee

Besides rice, yellow noodles and kway teow is available too. Above is their braised duck with a mixture kway teow and yellow noodles. The kway teow and yellow noodles are tossed in a nice flavourful braised sauce seasoning.

The kway teow is quite smooth and the yellow noodles is firm and springy. Some bean sprouts is included as well. As for the slices braised duck meat, they are deboned. The meat is moist and meaty with soft, smooth and flavourful skin attached. Nice! I like this bowl of braised duck kway teow mee too.
