Nasi Lemak

Nasi Lemak 67 is a Muslim stall offering several nasi lemak sets. Above is their set with a quarter fried chicken, fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts with a begedil added.

Premium basmati rice is used. It is firm, fluffy and flavorful. It is nice. The quarter fried chicken provided is the thigh part. It has tender and juicy meat, with crispy chicken skin that is well marinated with spices. The fried chicken is nice too.

The fried egg is normal type with cooked yolk and whites. The ikan bilis is crispy and savoury, and the peanuts is crunchy. The begedil has a soft and favourful potato filling with a mildly crispy egg coating.

This plate of nasi lemak comes served with a slice of cucumber and a dollop of sweet tasting chilli paste that pairs really well with the nasi lemak. It is rather enjoyable, and I like it.
