Penang Yong Ji Char Kuay Teow

does Penang fried kway teow, fried carrot cake and fried oyster omelette. Their Penang fried kway teow is tasty!

| | | | | | | |

This plate of Penang fried kway teow has an extra egg added. The wok-fried kway teow has slightly savoury and slighty sweet flavours with lovely undertones of wok hei. The fried kway teow contains some bean sprouts, spring onions and prawns. The prawns are fairly large and tastes rather fresh. This Penang fried kway teow is tasty!

The fried carrot cake features longish cubes of soft radish cake pan-fried with eggs. The white version is done flat pancake style with a a mostly soft egg coating, and has a subtle savoury taste. The black version has savoury and smoky flavours, but it is soggy and lacks crispiness. Both versions of fried carrot cake are somewhat unremarkable.

The fried oyster omelette has soft egg and soft starchy parts. Although lacking in crispiness, its flavours are pleasant. The oysters are of decent size and quite juicy. It is served with a sweet tasting chilli dip on the side. This serving of fried oyster omelette is quite decent.
