Fried Hokkien Mee

Serangoon Garden Fried Prawn Noodle serves dry type of fried hokkien mee that is slightly moist. It comes with prawns, sotong, pork belly and plentiful of crispy pork lard.

A mixture of yellow noodles and mee hoon is wok fried with some bean sprouts and egg with some broth added. The fried noodles and mee hoon is firm and springy, is flavourful and slightly moist.

The prawn is of decent size and freshness. The sotong is fairly soft, and the pork belly is firm and meaty with some soft fatty parts. Lots of crispy pork lard is included with the fried hokkien mee, making it slightly greasy. However a piece of green lime is provided and its juice helps offset any greasiness. A limey tasting chilli is also provided on the side.

This plate of fried hokkien mee is flavourful and nice. I like it.
