Fatty Cheong
sells tasty siu mei roast meat dishes. Wanton mee too. Their char siew and siu yuk are nice.
Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice
Fatty Cheong sells Cantonese style siu mei roast meat dishes. Shown here is their char siew and siu yuk roast pork rice. You can also choose noodles instead of rice.
I have requested for fatty char siew and roast pork. The char siew is nice fatty and meaty with sweet taste of honey. The caramelised parts are good. The roast pork has a nice savoury taste, decently tender meat and has crispy skin. These are served on a plate of firm white rice with a sweet tasting seasoning sauce added. An optional dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste can be added on the side.
This plate of char siew and siu yuk rice is definitely nice. Thumbs up!
Wanton Mee
Fatty Cheong serves wanton mee as well. This plate of wanton mee comes with slices of char siew and wanton dumplings served on a plate of tossed noodles. A bowl of light ikan bilis flavoured soup is provided on the side.
I had requested for fatty char siew and the slices of char siew given are the half fatty ones. It is soft and meaty with a sweet flavours. The caramelised parts are especially nice. As for the wanton, it has a soft skin wrapper. Its filling is soft and meaty and flavourful. It is nice.
The noodles are springy and tossed in a nice seasoning sauce that is slightly sweet. Some vegetables are provided on the side. An optional dried shrimp flavoured chilli paste can also be added to the side.
This is a lovely serving of wanton mee. I like it very much.
