Fishball Noodles

Hong Xing Handmade Fishball Meatball Noodle does handmade fishballs and meatballs served with choice of noodles. Above is with mee pok chosen.

The mee pok is simple, just a mixture of a soya sauce based seasoning with chilli and lard pieces. Its texture is on the softer side but not overly soft, not exactly springy either.

The highlight of the stall is their handmade fishballs and meatballs. The fishball has a springy and yet very soft and smooth texture. It is so smooth and soft and it feels almost like tofu. Good! The meatball does not have the usual compact chewy texture of meatballs. It is soft, springy and smooth with savoury flavours. At first bite, it feels soft and springy like a fishball but definitely tastes like a meatball. Very good! To me, the noodles are more like an accompanying side dish to their signature handmade fishballs and meatballs.

Both fishballs and meatballs are highly recommende!
