Review: Hua Kee Chicken Rice (Singapore)

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Hua Kee Chicken Rice sells only the white type of chicken. Its Hainanese chicken rice comes with a small bowl of soup and chilli sauce on the side. The rice does not taste oily, is fragrant and very flavourful. I like the rice. Its flavours are so nice that I can probably eat it on its own. The chicken is quite juicy for breast meat, with smooth chicken skin that doesn’t taste fatty at all. The soup has nice light flavours with a hint of ginger. The accompanying garlic chilli sauce mixes well with the flavours of chicken and the rice. This is a nice plate of chicken rice.
