This fried carrot cake uses soft and springy cubes of radish cake that are pan-fried with eggs and chye poh until slightly crispy. Both versions are flavourful, with the black version having an extra note of subtle sweetness coming from the added sweet sauce. The fried carrot cake is topped with some chopped spring onions.

Both the white and black options of this fried carrot cake are nice.

The fried hokkien mee is the dry type with a bit of moisture. The wok-fried mixture of yellow noodles and mee hoon, egg, bean sprouts and crispy pork lard, is flavourful and has a nice note of wok hei. The dish comes with firm and springy slices of sotong and decently sized prawns. On the side, a savoury-tasting chilli paste and a pice of green lime are provided.

This plate of fried hokkien mee tastes lovely! I like it.

Fried Hokkien Mee

The fried kway teow contains see hum and fish cake slices in its wok-fried mixture of kway teow, yellow noodles, bean sprouts and egg. The kway teow and yellow noodles have a firm and springy texture, with a mild sweet tone and undernotes of wok hei. The see hum is of decent size and taste, while the fish cake is soft and smooth.

This plate of fried kway teow is enjoyable too.

The fried oyster omelette features a mixture of eggs and starchy bits that are soft and not crispy. Despite being soft, the fried oyster omelette is very flavourful. The oysters are of decent size and freshness, served with a limey chilli dip on the side. Some coriander leaves are topped on to the dish.

This fried oyster omelette would have been good if it were crispy, but it is still a rather decent and likeable option.
