Fried Carrot Cake.

The fried carrot cake features soft and springy radish cubes, pan-fried with eggs and chye poh.

The white version is done flat style with a slightly crispy egg coating. The black version has sweet black sauce added, giving it a subtle sweet tone. It has a lovely dry texture with pockets of crispiness. Both fried carrot cake are topped with chopped spring onions, and a dollop of limey chilli paste is provided on the side.

Personally I like the black version of fried carrot cake over the white one, though both options taste nice in their own way.

Fried Hokkien Mee.

The fried hokkien mee is the dry type with a mixture of yellow noodles, mee hoon and bean sprouts wok-fried with egg, crispy pork lard, prawns, sotong and pork belly slices.

The prawns are of decent size and freshness. The sotong is soft, and the pork belly is meaty with a soft layer of fat. A dollop of limey chilli paste and a piece of green lime are provided on the side.

This plate of fried hokkien mee has lovely flavours with a hint of wok hei, and it tastes nice.

Fried Kway Teow.

The fried kway teow features a mixture of kway teow, yellow noodles and bean sprouts, wok-fried with egg, crispy pork lard, see hum, lap cheong and fish cake slices.

The see hum is small but tastes decent. The lap cheong is firm and sweet, while the fish cake is springy. A dollop of limey chilli paste is provided on the side.

The fried kway teow has a sweet tint, along with a smoky hint of wok hei, and it tastes lovely.

Fried Oyster Omelette.

The fried oyster omelette has a crispy egg and starch mixture, with the starchy parts still retaining softness and chewiness. The oysters are rather plump and fairly fresh. A limey chilli dip is provided on the side. The fried oyster omelette is served topped with chopped spring onions and corriander leaves.

This serving of fried oyster omelette tastes good!
