Double Fish Soup

For this double fish soup, ban mian is chosen. It comes with both sliced fish and fried fish, along with vegetables and fried egg bits.

The sliced fish is soft and smooth, and the fried fish is meaty and savoury. However the fried crust of the fried fish is soft and no longer crispy. The fried egg bits is soft as well, and tastes slightly stale. The ban mian is firm and springy, and the soup is quite nicely flavoured.

Mee Hoon Kueh

The mee hoon kueh comes with minced meat, vegetables and a raw egg served in a bowl of flavourful soup. It is topped with ikan bilis and fried shallots.

The minced meat is soft and has nice marinated flavours. The ikan bilis is quite crispy, and the raw egg is soft. The mee hoon kueh is firm and springy, but it is a bit lumpy.

This serving of mee hoon kueh is satisfactory.

Dumplings & Guo Tie

Boiled dumplings and fried guo tie are also available.

The above dumpling noodles is served with you mian. It comes with dumplings, vegetables and a raw egg, served in a bowl of soup. It is topped with crispy ikan bilis and fried shallots.

The boiled dumplings have a soft skin, and their meaty and crunchy filling tastes rather flavourful. The fried version, guo tie, has pan fried crispy undersides with a chewy skin. However, the undersides are a bit charred. Both versions are decent.
